Line & Curve Tools
Measure cable runs, conduit, LED strips, and other linear items on your plans.
Overview
The Line and Curve tools let you draw paths along cable runs, conduit routes, or any linear items. Plan Count calculates the real-world length based on your scale settings and determines how many units (rolls, lengths, etc.) you need.

How to Use
Line Tool (L) — Straight Segments
- Press L or click the Line button in the toolbar
- Click to place the first point
- Click to add more vertices at each corner
- Double-click or press Enter to complete
Curve Tool (K) — Freehand Curves
- Press K or click the Curve button in the toolbar
- Click and hold to start drawing
- Drag to trace the curved route
- Release — the line is auto-smoothed into a clean bezier path
- Double-click or press Enter to complete
Midpoint Drag-to-Arc
Bend any straight segment into a smooth arc after drawing:
- Select an existing path (press V)
- Hover over the midpoint handle (diamond) on any straight segment
- Click and drag away from the line to curve it
- Drag back close to snap it straight again
