Annotation tools let you mark up your drawings with visual annotations:

Annotation Types

Cloud Box

Cloud boxes are scalloped-edge rectangles commonly used for revision markups. They can contain text and are exported with your PDF.

Text Annotation

Text annotations are rectangular sticky-note style annotations for adding comments, instructions, or reminders to your plans.

Highlight

Highlights are semi-transparent colored regions that draw attention to specific areas without obscuring the underlying content.

How to Use

Drawing Annotations

  1. Press the keyboard shortcut for your annotation type
  2. Click and drag to draw a rectangle
  3. Release to create the annotation
  4. Double-click to edit text (for Cloud Box and Text Annotation)

Editing Annotations

  • Select an annotation to show resize handles
  • Drag to move the annotation
  • Drag handles to resize
  • Double-click to edit text content
